This year’s Forbes Under 30 Summit, which is more than tripling in size and scope, will expand in another way: We’re building an entire village on Boston’s mammoth City Hall Plaza, to cater to every whim of the Forbes 30 Under 30 community. For three-plus days, from October 16th through the 19th, it will be the coolest, most vital place in the world, as more than 5,000 present and future leaders of their fields will make it a second home. Here’s a sneak peek at the components:
- A giant stage and music festival: The Forbes Under 30 Summit kicks off in the village with the Under 30 Music Festival (previous headliners range from Wiz Khalifa and Afrojack to Shawn Mendes and ASAP Rocky). The stage will then remain up for all three days, showcasing up-and-coming musical acts, inventors, comedians and more.
- The Experiences Hub: Interested in the latest in virtual reality, self-driving cars or other breakthroughs from the world’s most innovative companies? Here's the place to experience it all, first-hand.
- The Ideas Hub: A village within a village, featuring scores of startups each showcasing the ideas that will change the world. Fund, get funded, partner. It will all happen here, complete with a stage where attendees can get more in-depth with the world's best startups.
- The Opportunities Hub: The world’s most lucrative meet-market. Dozens of top companies explain what they’re looking for; 5,000+ of the best professionals (plus, more than 1,000 Under 30 scholars , the most sought-after college and grad students in America) see what’s available. And a stage will showcase the world's top hirers. New gig, anyone?
- Lounges, lounges, lounges: Private areas where 30 Under 30 listees, as well as other attendees, can network in style with others from their field.
- The best chefs in the world: Food is a huge component of the Under 30 Summit. There will be great things to snack on throughout the day. And on the final night, the Village will also host the Under 30 Food Festival, which will pit 15 honorees from the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in food and wine in a fun, friendly, delicious competition to determine America’s Greatest Young Chef.
- A beer garden:‘Nuff said.
